1. Service Description
MetaClean provides browser-based tools to inspect and sanitize supported image metadata (including EXIF, XMP, IPTC, PNG chunks, and C2PA manifests). The software runs locally within the user’s web browser.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use MetaClean only for lawful purposes. You must have the legal right or permission to inspect, sanitize, and download any images you process through this tool.
3. No Guarantee of AI Detection Removal
Important Notice: MetaClean removes supported file-level metadata headers. MetaClean does NOT guarantee that any image will be treated as non-AI-generated or authentic by third-party platforms, automated classifiers, or neural detection models. Third parties may utilize visual analysis, statistical frequency classifiers, invisible watermarks, or platform-specific signals that are unaffected by metadata removal.
4. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights, ownership, and copyright to any images you process with MetaClean. MetaClean claims zero ownership or licensing rights over your media.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Under no circumstances shall MetaClean or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of this tool.
